Kelli Westmoreland has worked in education for over twenty-five years. Her teaching experience includes elementary school and middle school ELA as well as teaching at the community college and university levels.
Kelli has extensive knowledge and experience working with authentic literature, including reading and writing workshop, classroom libraries, children’s literature and text sets. She often presents at national, state, and local literacy and social studies conferences, and she works as a literacy consultant with schools and districts throughout Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska.
Kelli’s doctoral studies include integrating the internet and diverse media, technological pedagogical content knowledge, lesson creation, ELA and ISTE standards, and the stages of innovation and the nurturing needed to oversee innovative changes within a school or district.
